Course 622: Cyber Security Risks for Travelling University Employees

Course description

This course will provide a cybersecurity training for universities across Canada for them to learn some strategies for staying cyber safe while travelling abroad.

Objectives

  • Recall cyber security preparations and best practices for travel
  • Identify the risks from use of airport, hotel, venue, and public wi-fi access points
  • Prepare for device seizure at points of entry
  • Prepare for device theft
  • Recall the issues associated with censorship systems

Target audience

The target audience is university professors, administrators, and students from across Canada.
