On 8 May 2020 VMware released a security advisory that provided workarounds to mitigate vulnerabilities in SaltStack, a third party component of vRealize Operations Manager. Successful exploitation of the vulnerabilities could allow an actor to bypass authentication or traverse directories.
On 15 May 2020 VMware released a security update to remediate the vulnerabilities.
