[Control systems] Mitsubishi Electric security advisory

Number: AV20-089
Date: 01 April 2020

On 31 March 2020 Mitsubishi Electric published a security bulletin highlighting vulnerabilities in all versions of the following MELSEC programmable controllers with the MELSOFT transmission port (UDP/IP):
• MELSEC iQ-R Series
• MELSEC iQ-F Series
• MELSEC-Q Series
• MELSEC-L Series
• MELSEC-F Series

An actor can send large amounts of data to the MELSOFT transmission port of an affected MELSEC product to cause a disruption in communication.
The Cyber Centre encourages users and administrators to review the following Mitsubishi Electric security bulletin for recommended mitigations.
