VMware security advisory

On 19 September 2019 VMware released security updates to address vulnerabilities affecting some of its products. Of note is a vulnerability, tracked as CVE-2019-5527, affecting ESXi, Workstation, Fusion, VMRC and Horizon Client with a CVSSv3 score of 8.5. A local actor with non-administrative access on the guest machine could exploit the vulnerability to run arbitrary code on the host.
