Microsoft security advisory

On 20 July 2021 Microsoft published an out-of-band Security Advisory to address a vulnerability in the following product:

  • Windows 10 – versions 1809 and later

Exploitation of this vulnerability could allow an actor with the ability to execute code on a victim system to obtain sensitive system information and elevate privileges.

The Cyber Centre encourages users and administrators to review the provided web links, perform the suggested mitigation after verifying potential business impacts and apply the necessary updates when available.
